The USPS introduced two more regressive proposals.  I will let you draw your on conclusions rather than comment on the USPS actions this year.

First proposal was to change medical benefits- the USPS wants every workers to pay more of  the employee's share - they want the weighted average to be reduced every year - from 84 % to 83% to 82% to 81% to 80 %.

This reduction will increase employees costs.

The USPS also introduced a pay for performance proposal to be added to the bargaining unit pay system. They did say these were lump sum payments. Exact details were not provided.

We are down to our last 12 days of the 1998-2000 Contract.
